At the Dive Center, the privacy and confidentiality of user Personal Information (as such term is defined below) is important. We are committed to maintaining the privacy and security of your user information. We may update this policy from time to time, so please check here frequently so that you, the user and personal data subject, is properly informed of our privacy standards. Dive Center will not disclose identifiable user information to any third party without your consent.
Dive Center is committed to safeguarding your privacy while visiting Dive Center website, namely, www.vidaaquatica.com (hereinafter all identified URLs are collectively referred to as the "Site"). Our goal is to provide you with an Internet experience that delivers the information, resources and services that are most relevant to you. To achieve this goal, part of the operation of the Site includes the gathering of information about Site users.
What information is collected about you?
Because we understand that your privacy is important, we wish to explain the types of information we gather and the way in which we use it.
The term "aggregated data" refers to general information regarding visitors and users of the Site that relates to use of the Site. The aggregated data includes traffic patterns, number of visits to certain pages, visits from other web sites or to third-party web sites linked to the Site, use of particular services and interest in services, information or features of the Site or other parties made available through or found at the Site.

The Personal Data collected by the Dive Center will be used for the following originating purposes:
- Register you as a Dive Center member, guest and/or visitor.
- Plan and purchase Dive Center services.
- Identification and access to the Dive Center’s premises.
- Providing accommodation, touristic and commercial services.
- Ensure the functionality and quality of Dive Center’s services by issuing distinguishing identification for personalized attention, safety and when required, hiring or confirmation of third-party services requested by you.
- Statistical and historical record of users.
- Invoicing and collecting bills for the Dive Center’s services.
- Notifications or communications in connection with the services provided by the Dive Center.
The Personal Information will be also used for the following additional purposes:
- Enter your email in our promotions or sweepstakes.
- Send marketing communications or surveys to you.
- Respond to your questions or suggestions.
- Improve the quality of your visit to our Site.
All forms in the Site will provide an opt-out button to allow you to choose not to participate in Dive Center lists and future online marketing. In deciding whether or not to join such lists, please note that they are only used for Dive Center purposes or in joint promotions with a Dive Center partner. You may request to be removed from our lists at any time. All emails distributed to our lists will contain easy, online access to unsubscribe.
Sharing your Personal Information
We do not sell or rent any of your Personal Data with any other party including any third-party joint promoters, nor use it, for unapproved commercial purposes. The Dive Center may share your email address exclusively to Trip Advisor LLC, in order to assess the quality of our services. We may share your Personal Information at your request, with the sole purpose of providing third-party products or services that you have requested. We may also share your Personal Information to Dive Center’s affiliates, subsidiaries, or controlling entities, under our control and with the same processes, internal policies and security measures. If you do not expressly disagree to these transfer of your Personal Data, we will assume that you have consented such transfer. When Personal Data may be shared, forms will provide an option out to allow you to choose not to share your Personal Data.

We would like our Site visitors to feel confident about using the Site to plan and purchase their Dive Center services, so Dive Center is committed to protecting the information we collect. Dive Center has implemented a security program to keep information that is stored in our systems protected from unauthorized access.
Our Site is hosted in a secure environment. The Site servers/systems are configured with data encryption, or scrambling technologies, and industry-standard firewalls. When you enter Personal Information during the reservation process, or during a customer email sign-up, your data is protected by Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology to ensure safe transmission.
How to Revoke the Consent to Use Your Personal Data or Exercise Your ARCO Rights
You have the right to access your Personal Data in our possession; rectify such if incorrect or incomplete; cancel your Personal Data when you consider it’s no longer required for the established purposes or if such is not being used for the purposes that you have consented, or if the legal relationship is over; and to oppose to the processing of your Personal Data for specific purposes (access, rectification, cancellation and opposition, hereinafter referred as “ARCO” rights).
You also have the right to revoke the consent that you have granted to us for the processing of your Personal Data, so we stop using them.
You may exercise your ARCO and revocation rights at any moment, for which purpose you must send your written request directly to firstname.lastname@example.org or to our “Committee of Personal Data”. The petition shall be made by means of any applicable form; and include, at least the following information: (a) name, signature and address or any other contact information in order to notify you the response to your request; (b) identity or legal representation, if applicable; (c) precise description of the Personal Data for which you wish to exercise any of your ARCO rights, and (d) any other information tending to facilitate identifying your Personal Data.
The Dive Center may respond to your petition by e-mail. The Dive Center has the obligation to respond to your request within the following 20 (twenty) business days after receiving your request. Once such period has elapsed and the Dive Center has failed to respond to your petition, then you may file for the right’s protection procedure before the Federal Institute for Access to Public Information and Data Protection (Instituto Federal de Acceso a la Información y Protección de Datos).
The “Committee of Personal Data” is in charge of processing your Personal Data within the Dive Center. The Committee of Personal Data opens from 9:00 to 18:00, Monday through Friday, located at Calle 34 Norte, Manzana 3 Lote 1 y 2, Esquina Calle 38 Norte y 5TA Avenida, Colonia Centro, Codigo Postal 77710, Playa del Carmen, México.

Use of Aggregated Data
Dive Center is interested in improving the Site and may develop and offer new features and services. We monitor aggregated data regarding use of the Site for marketing purposes and to study, improve and promote use of the Site. In connection with such purposes, Dive Center may share aggregated data with third parties collectively and in an anonymous way. Disclosure of aggregated data does not include Personal Information about individual Site users in any way that identifies who they are or how to contact them.
Dive Center has two exceptions to these limits on use of Personal Information:
Dive Center may monitor and, when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required, disclose information to protect the security, property, assets and/or rights of Dive Center from unauthorized use, or misuse, of the Site or anything found at the Site, to the competent authority.
Dive Center may disclose information when required by law; however, only to the extent necessary and in a manner that seeks to maintain the privacy of the individual.
To enable features at the Site, Dive Center may assign one or more "cookies" to your Internet browser. Cookies, among other things, speed navigation through our Site, keep track of information so that you do not have to re-enter it each time you visit our Site, and may provide you with customized content. Therefore, we are not responsible for the privacy policies or the actions of any third parties, including without limitation, any web site owners whose sites may be reached through our Site, nor can we control the activities of those web sites. We urge you to contact the relevant parties controlling these sites or accessing their on-line policies for the relevant information about their data collection practices before submitting any personal information or other sensitive data.
We want visitors to www.vidaaquatica.com (hereinafter identified as the "Site") to feel confident about using our Site to plan and purchase their services at our Dive Center, so we are committed to protecting the information we collect. If you decide to make an online reservation for accommodations at the Site for Mahekal Beach Resort, you will be linked to a reservation interface and a third party booking engine (“Booking Engine”) provided by iHotelier. While it appears to be part of our site, the Booking Engine is in fact provided by a third party and is governed by its privacy practices. We understand that security remains the primary concern of online consumers and have chosen the Booking Engine Vendor carefully.
